Jem

I have attached some recent pictures of our Sheltie “Jem” (you may remember him as “Emeril”, which we changed to “Jemerald” and shortened).  I think that he is now almost six years old and he has been the perfect companion for us. He is exceptionally smart and exceptionally loyal! Two “snippets” will give insight into how special of a little dog he is. First, when we are camping he will always place himself between us and the “woods” … in other words, he always “has our back” and puts himself between any potential danger and us.  Second, I take him to work with me (I teach at a college) nearly every day because he is always quiet, stays in my office if I tell him to, is friendly with the students, and puts a huge smile on their faces. He is a special little guy.
