Ty
I want to take this opportunity to thank you as owner/breeder of Shelties Purebred and Perfect for allowing my husband and me the opportunity to foster our male Sheltie, Ty, as well as adopt our loveable female Shelties, Riley and Lacy! We are absolutely thrilled with their wonderful disposition and extreme intelligence. All the things you do as a breeder when they are pups really helps the transition when going to their new homes. We were so fortunate in that waiting for your pups was our best decision and feel we have the quality Shelties we were looking for. Thanks also for the information and kindness in answering our questions and keeping us updated as it got closer to our pick-up time. We really appreciate the special time you made for us the day we picked them up and the puppy kit was so helpful! We really feel comfortable knowing we can call you with any questions (and we do!)!
As you know, when you and I first met, my husband and I had two Shelties. One was a rescue dog named Stormy from Minnesota, whom we adopted when our first Sheltie, Jessie, passed in 2007 and one was a female Sheltie, April, whom we adopted from a breeder in Minnesota but also passed in 2012.
We decided to foster our fourth, Ty, from Shelties Purebred and Perfect, in July of 2010. Ty was four months old when we took him in to his new home and was already house trained and quickly began using our dog door. He never had one mistake in the house and was very lovable and intelligent. He helped our rescue Sheltie Stormy become more sociable and less afraid of his outside surroundings! Ty also loved our three cats. Many nights were spent sitting on the couch fascinated by one of the cats grooming Ty when he had snow or rain on his face! He loved it!
Ty was such an intelligent pup that we knew we wanted one of his offspring (had to be a female!). Little did we know that we would end up with two females from the same litter and that my brother would end up adopting the third female of the litter. The two females, Riley and Lacy (our fifth and sixth Shelties) were adopted in October of 2013 and November of 2013 from Shelties Purebred and Perfect. Even though they are littler mates (Ty is sire and Jasmine is dame), we had planned to adopt only Riley but fell in love with her sister; we absolutely had to adopt her as well! My brother, who lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, adopted the third female litter mate, Murphy!
I am compelled to write this testimonial and recommendation for Shelties Purebred and Perfect for anyone considering a Sheltie because I am extremely pleased with every aspect of our dogs and their breeder, Teresa Levine. Teresa offers dogs as pets after a thorough vetting of perspective owners. And we could tell instantly that Teresa’s first several weeks with the pups were filled with love and play, which has produced very well-adjusted dogs. Our Shelties enjoy playing with children, other dogs of all sizes and breeds, and does well with quiet time at home too. We are thankful to be blessed with such amazing dogs!
